From Kapalua, Napili, or Kahana: Allow a 15-20 minute drive time.
From Ka’anapali: Allow a 5-10 minute drive time.

As you head south towards Lahaina on Highway 30, turn right at the Safeway/Cannery Mall onto Kapunakea Street.  Go down to Front Street and turn left.  Drive behind the mall and then one more block.  You will go over a little white bridge and then you will see the Mala Boat Ramp sign on the right (there is also a church on the right with a big blue “Jesus coming soon” sign on top it).  Turn right onto Mala Road.  Once on Mala Road, you will see free parking on the left and right sides as well as a restroom on the left side. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE STALLS FOR TRUCKS AND TRAILERS. Head to the trailer parking lot and/or down to the dock and look for the ORANGE rafts marked “Captain Steve’s.” If you can’t find parking on Mala Road, go back to the entrance and turn right immediately onto Ala Moana Street (do not get back on Front Street). Park either in the dirt parking lot behind the restrooms or drive one block and park by the cemetery on the right and walk respectfully through the cemetery to the Mala Wharf.

From Kihei: Allow a 30-45 minute drive time.
From Wailea: Allow a 60 minute drive time.
From Kahului or Wailuku: Allow a 40-45 minute drive time.
Follow the signs to Lahaina and Hwy 30. Once in Lahaina, Hwy 30 turns into HI-3000 (the bypass). Continue to the end and down Keawe Street. Stay in the right lane and turn right back onto Hwy 30. Get in the left lane immediately and turn left at the Safeway onto Kapunakea Street. Go down to Front Street and turn left. Drive behind the mall and then one more block. You will go over a little white bridge and then you will see the Mala Boat Ramp sign on the right (there is also a church on the right with a big blue “Jesus coming soon” sign on top it).
